Usage/Application
♦In chemical experiments, the reaction to produce Prussian blue is often used to test CN-: FeSO4+ 6NaCN +2Na4[Fe(CN)6]+ 4FeCl3= Fe4[Fe(CN)6]3 ↓ + 12NaCl+ Na2SO4.
♦In medical treatment, thallium can replace the iron on Prussian blue to form insoluble substances, which can be excreted with feces, which has a certain effect on the treatment of oral acute and chronic thallium poisoning. The dosage is generally 250mg/kg daily, divided into 4 times, dissolved in 50ml 15% mannitol for oral administration.
Chemical Property
♦Prussian blue has a cubic structure and is stable under normal temperature and pressure
♦Insoluble in water, soluble in acid and alkali.
♦ There are two kinds of shades, cyan light and red light, with bright color, strong tinting power and slightly poor hiding power.
♦The powder is hard and difficult to grind.
♦It is resistant to sunlight and acid, but it will decompose when exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid. It is weak in alkali resistance, even dilute alkali can make it decompose. It cannot be used with alkaline pigments. Water and sand can be used to fight the fire.
